Big Day

Today was a big day in the Ide Household.  Maren rolled from her tummy to her back for the first time!  She is still working on figuring this out for a second time.  We also introduced cereal for the first time.  I don’t know that any of the cereal actually made it into their mouths, but they seemed to enjoy the process.  Owen is a good little chewer, but is still working on the whole swallowing part of the process. Maren was a lot more interested in touching the cereal than tasting it.

In other adorable news -
  • Owen found his feet, and they are the coolest feet ever!  He is now working on getting both feet into his mouth.  The little man has goals!
  • Maren has started to twirl her own hair when she is falling asleep. Who needs a blanket when you have that much hair!

Here are some pictures from the last couple of weeks.

After Cereal

The coolest chick ever!

Owen and his feet!

Maren taking her last ride in the infant swing.  We replaced it with a shelf and mat for the kiddos.

Cooper is pretty sure the new play mat belongs to him. (Check out the basket of laundry in the back - that is just a couple days with twins!)

Owen and Maren have also started to use a jumper.  Owen thinks the seat is delicious.

Maren uses her hair as a security blanket, but Owen needs a few other things. . . He doesn't get any comfort items in his crib at night, so he goes all out when he naps during the day.

A couple of sweet twin pics

And, finally, Cooper photobombed, and Maren is not impressed.

  1. They are too cute Katie. I'm pretty sure our dog Mack thinks that all Marleys things are also all of his things. She's finally getting to the point now (at 16 months) where she gets mad and pushes him away.

  2. So far, Cooper has only claimed the mat. When the babies are playing with their toys, he grabs one of his toys and chews on it next to them. It's super cute. I don't think Cooper will want to be as close to them once they become more mobile and can grab him, though.
